We practice yoga with awareness and compassion.
This short course progressively teaches the basics of Hatha yoga, a combination of physical postures, deep breathing, and meditation (relaxation), perfectly for those brand new to yoga, or for people with some limitation that looking to improve their welbeing with yoga.
No matter what your body type, age, or level of flexibility & strength, thiscourse will help you understand yoga, feel comfortable on your yoga mat, and release mental and physical tension.
This first course will teach you the nuts and bolts of yoga: the use of breath, what is your core and how to engage it, how to safely stretch avoiding back and ligament injuries, how to let go of thoughts and relax, this is usually the hardest.
You will get a feel for yoga, as well as learn the basics, allowing you to build a strong safe foundation.
We will explore deep breathing, practice beginner yoga postures with optional props and modifications, as well as learn safe physical alignment, balance, how to engage your core-strength and how to stretch correctly, and increase body awareness.

The studio is a cosy and friendly environment.
We make extra effort to create a relaxed environment with candles, soft lighting, sound, essential oils/incense might be used if no allergies or asthma.
All props including blankets and Lavender eye pillows are provided.
The studio is a smoke free space and artificial body deodorant free which may cause migraines and allergies. Please respect this policy.
