SLOW YOGA FOR BEGINNERS AND HEALTHY BACK
Maximum 6 people.
Location: TBY Private Studio 43 Manor Way, Guildford, GU2 7RP.
THURSDAY COURSES 9AM (75 minutes) - SATURDAY COURSES 8AM (60 minutes).
The style is slow with elements of Yoga Therapy for back pain, hence the class has a focus on healthy backs.
We practice traditional yoga, slow movements with the breath and we hold the poses to give time to understand imbalances, and how to approach them.
The stretches needs holding to allow the muscle response to calm and relax, find the safe limit of a stretch and create muscle memory.
For strengthening, the holds is necessary to create strength and understanding how to challenge the body without overdoing or undergoing.
The class ends with Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) and sound bath with Tibetan singing bowls, gong and other instrument that promote relaxation and healing.
All equipment provided, including mats. Free road parking.
