Icecream - Yes it can be healthy! Ayurvedic approved recipe.

ICECREAM The Healthy tasty option for the summer!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It's summer and we're feeling the heat. While Ayurveda do not recommend eating or drinking cold food, an exception is made during summer hot days.

Ice cream has a really high content of sugar (plus other not so healthy ingredients), instead, why not cool off with a homemade cream?

If you haven't heard of it, there is an easy recipe for plant-based ice cream made with only two ingredients: bananas and almond milk or other plant base milk (this is a base to add more ingredients and flavours).⠀⠀⠀

Ingredients:

2 cups of frozen banana (1 large bananas)

1-2 TB of unsweetened almond milk (or any kind of plant-based milk)

Or ...double the amount of the ingredients to make it easier to blend and have extra, because it’s yummy.

Directions:

Place the ingredients in a blender or food processor. In fact I use my juicer, for the perfect smooth texture.

Blend on high for 1 approx to 2 minutes stopping to scrape the sides every so often, if needed add more almond milk by the tablespoon. This also help with blending/juicing.

Once ready, the consistency should be the one of a super thick or softer smoothie.

Option to eat immediately or to freeze for later.⠀

Freeze the plant base icecream for 1 to 2 hours, or until is hard enough to scoop like ice cream, but isn’t ice rock solid!⠀⠀⠀⠀

Finally - get creative!
